Jesus wept.
John 11:35 puts our Savior’s humanity on display and helps us see that though He was divinity
wrapped in humanity, Jesus was still very moved by the sorrows of those He loved.
As I write today’s blog post, my heart is overwhelmed, just as it is every Thursday, as my
prayer team and I devote the day to intercessory prayer. I call it “Thoughtful Thursdays,”
because you are in my thoughts and my deepest requests I make known to God.
Every single petition, together, we take it before the Lord and trust Him to work it out as He
sees fit. I want you to know, even though I am unable to share every request on “Your Daily
Cup of Inspiration” blog, there is not a single one that is overlooked.
Hours are spent reading and seeking God for hundreds of you whose souls are crying out for
deliverance, healing, guidance, clarity, and a touch from the Master.
Today, I wept.
I wept for the mother who cries out for her son; the woman facing financial turmoil, with no
resources in sight; the divorcee working hard to pick the pieces of her life back up again; the
grieving one who does not know how to move beyond the loss; the woman with low self-
esteem, feeling unloved, unwanted, and invisible.
My heart is touched.
But not only mine.
Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling
of our infirmities,” which lets us know, the Lord loves and cares for us, and can relate to the
pain we feel each day.
And I believe, that as we stand together in faith, He is going to reach out His hand and touch
those in desperate need. The good news is, when God intervenes, things begin to happen! He
turns things around.
Together, let’s pray for the individuals posted on our intercessory prayer list.

My sister Joy Cross is in ICU on life support. She is 34 years old. The CT Scan showed a spot
on the brain due to her being without oxygen for so long. She has severe asthma and does not
live in the best conditions. Her husband took her off of the insurance because he said it costs
too much, yet he knew my sister had an illness. At this time, if she does not show any brain
activity she will die. She has a feeding tube and a chest tube and she's on the ventilator to
help her breathe. She's also heavily sedated. The Methodist hospital here in Houston has to
treat her due to ethics, but for the life of me, I'm tired of this yo-yo of emotions on my 70 year
old mother. I pray for her to recover and for us to get a medical power of attorney so that she
can get the care for her mental and physical illness that she needs. I pray for my 10 and 13
year old nephews because if something happens to her, we will have to raise them. We were
told that she will never be the same after this and if she lives, there will be a long road to
recovery. Thank you in advance.

I am a single mom of two and also caring for my dad with Alzheimer's. We are not from the town
we live in, thus no family is nearby. I was employed for 13 years and as of January 2013, I am
now unemployed. I did receive severance and more importantly, health benefits, but these will
be ending in a few weeks. To be completely honest I am afraid of what the future holds. I do
not receive not nor have I ever received child support and my ex-husband is not in the
children's lives, by his choice. I grew up in the church and know prayer works. I also know God
comes in His time frame and not ours. Since my best friends are back home and with no family
here, it gets very lonely. I would talk with my coworkers for adult conversation, but I no longer
have that. I lost my job unfairly and I am still bitter over this but I want to let it go, this could be
blocking my next blessing. Caring for my father is extremely challenging but it must be done.
Simply put, I am scared and nervous for my financial future and of course my kids' future. I
thank God they (ages 22 & 14) are wonderful kids because if not, I would have lost my sanity a
long time ago. I wish friends and family were closer so I could have a shoulder to cry on. Even
with our modern technology today with texts, Skype, email, etc. nothing can replace human
contact. We miss going to church because we have no one to sit with my dad, plus this is an
extra cost I cannot afford right now, so I pray a lot. I welcome your prayers as well.

My husband and I are at odds over our church. I believe we have been released from our
church. He says we haven't. I am spiritually dead in this place and our children are not happy
or getting fed either. We are both ministers but we have been sitting (not by choice) for a
season. Our pastor doesn't seem to know where we fit in the ministry. I am tired. It’s been 3
years and it’s starting to cause problems in our marriage. I've been going and submitting to
my husband on this matter but I am dying at this church and I don't know what to do or how
long I can take this. I've been praying about the situation but I can't seem to hear God on this
one. I am at my wits end. Please stand in agreement for our clarity on this matter and my
marriage and our ministry.

Please pray for me to gain strength and to lean on GOD. I've come a long way and have a
long way to go. I just want a little heaven right here on earth. I've been abused and misused
and I'm trying to be strong but the devil is busy. So I just ask that you lift me up in prayer
please and pray that I can be patient for peace of mind, joy and little heaven on earth. In Jesus
name.

I would like prayer for me and my family. We've been in transition and it's starting to wear on
us. I am requesting prayer for our finances, health, mental health, healing of relationships, and
special prayer for our faith and that we stay strong as we go through.
We are also praying for Alfonso Harris, who is currently hospitalized with 3 blood clots. We are
believing God to dissolve them and restore his health completely.
