This Is An Easy Fix For God

The tire was flat.
Pretty much all the air had seeped out, so my husband Kenya and I thought we were going to
have to replace it. Turns out, we were wrong. The repairman said there was simply a rusty nail
poking into the rubber, causing the tire to lose air.
We just couldn’t see it.
He got it out, sealed up the tiny puncture and sent us on our way.
Voilà! Good as new. Easy-peasy.
As long as the sharp object stayed lodged where it was, without either of us noticing, it created
problems.
Its removal, however, took care of all that.
Rusty nails.
I don’t have great history with them.
Remember I told you how, years ago, I jumped directly onto a slab of wood in the backyard with
nails poking out?
Ouch, ouch, ouch!
My failure to recognize danger left me unable to apply pressure to the bloody, swollen,
punctured area that was pierced all the way through. I ended up in the ER, hollering and
screaming from the pain of the wound. But the doctor gave me a Tetanus shot, cleaned and
bandaged it, prescribed some ibuprofen and sent me on my way.
I would be okay.
In both cases, with the tire and my foot, the piercing was caused by things I did not see in
advance of coming into contact with them. So I experienced the negative outcomes before
even identifying the causes.
By then, however, the damage—whether major or minor—was already done.
Being blind to the reasons, when unpleasant occurrences manifest in life, can be painful,
frustrating, or altogether painfully frustrating!
In other words, seeing a troubling “what” without understanding the “why” is a real pain.
If, somehow, we were able to just know in advance that problems, pitfalls and adversities were
on the way, we could get out of dodge.
If we were somehow able to see the ditch in advance of arriving at it, we could get around it
and avoid falling in, right? Man, wouldn’t that be wonderful?
Absolutely.
But is that always possible?
Absolutely not.
Like it or not, from time to time, we are going to be hit by circumstances that seem to come out
of nowhere. Before we even know what came at us, we’ll feel the impact of the blow. It’s like a
boxer being clocked with that one-two punch combination while his guard is down.
Just like that, he’s asleep, knocked unconscious, without ever having seen the jab moving
toward him.
If you have been dealing with unexpected blows, this word is for you. Although you cannot
always know what you’ll go through, the good news is, when you come up against something
tough, you have a refuge. Take it to the Lord. As the saying goes, "He specializes in doing the
impossible." He is able to remove every hindrance, restore, heal and repair each area of
brokenness.
Things that baffle and confuse us, and slip under our radar, don’t get past God.
All we have to do is take our troubles, burdens and confusion to Him. Give Him our issues and
cast our cares upon Him.
He will get rid of the thing that has infiltrated our lives and is wreaking havoc, and fix what is
broken. I’ve seen Him do it.
Even though it feels complex to us, it is not for Him.
To remind you of this truth, I’m stirring Jeremiah 32:27 NIV into your cup of inspiration. It says,
"I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”
As you drink down the contents of your cup, you will be empowered by the truth that God is not
stumped by even the most difficult thing.
It is easy for the Lord Almighty to open doors that were closed; bring abundance where there
was lack; give peace where there was confusion; replace sorrow with joy; send spiritual rain
where there was drought; and make inroads where there were only roadblocks.
Give it over to Him and let Him work it out.

Father, I know that You care for me and are able to do anything. But sometimes I
find myself trying to handle things all on my own and growing so discouraged,
weary, and exhausted with the journey. So today, I’m unloading my burdens,
problems, concerns, and anxieties in obedience to Your word in 1 Peter 5:7. At this
moment, I’m casting every one of my cares upon You because I know You care for
me. Thank You in advance for doing what is too hard for me, but easy for You. I
receive my deliverance and victory right now, by faith, as I release it all. In Jesus’
name, Amen.
