Tamera Mowry-Housley, Christian co-host of “The Real,” gave out some biblically sound advice for dealing with
mean-spirited bullies.
It fell right in line with Matthew 5:44 where Jesus said, “Love your enemies.”
“My grandmother taught me—and this is hard to do—but she used to say, just love the hell out of them. Kill ‘em
with kindness,” the 36-year-old said.
“Love the hell, meaning, love the evilness, love the pain, love the hell…out of them.”
The wife and expectant mother who has been bullied for being bi-racial, as well as for her physical appearance,
said, “When somebody talks about my looks, I will literally go to their page and say, ‘Hmmm, what exactly is
going on with this individual?’ And I often find that they don’t even like themselves.”
According to Mowry-Housley, hurting and insecure people tend to lash out at others. “It’s not about you. It’s
about them. They’re projecting their insecurities, their hurts, their pain, all on you,” she said.
Watch the entire exchange as the co-hosts and audience members get emotional while discussing the sensitive
topic.
