FOX Sports Reporter Pam Oliver Responds to Internet Hate: ‘I
Don’t Pay Attention to Anonymous People’
Article By M. K. James:: EEW Magazine Entertainment News
Pamela Oliver, a sportscaster known for her stellar reporting on the sidelines, has an impressively storied
career. But recently, the journalist who is currently at the top of her professional career, has been making
headlines for everything but her exceptional work.
Unfortunately, mean-spirited tweets have poured out online, criticizing Oliver’s hair and sparking viral taunts of
the veteran reporter.
But don’t think for a moment that she is allowing her work on the sidelines to be sidetracked by anonymous
cyber bullies with no regard for the feelings of others.
In fact, she mostly avoids social networking culture altogether.
“I don’t Twitter. I don’t Facebook. I don’t do any of those things,” she told The Wall Street Journal’s Lee Hawkins
in a sit-down video interview. “It’s just an invitation to hear bad things about yourself or people’s opinion.”
When it comes to heartless and unfeeling venom spewed by Internet haters, Oliver said, “I don’t pay attention
to anonymous people.”
Good policy.
