(EEW Magazine) “I know you gon' label me a hater, but inside you are greater than the songs you creatin'.”

Those are the words of 34-year-old Reach Records CEO and Christian rapper Lecrae Moore, from his freshly
dropped single, “Nuthin” off his upcoming
Anomaly album.

Overt and didactic in its messaging, Lecrae gives a scathing review of the current state of Hip Hop, wagging his
finger at rap luminaries who glorify material wealth and women, while ignoring the real issues plaguing our
communities.

In “Nuthin,” the lyricist has a clear mission: to change the conversation from nothing to something meaningful,
substantive and impactful.

“Here we go again in circles/Think I heard it all/But we need something more…” laments the hook.

Clearly, Lecrae has a burden for this generation and is seeking to revolutionize the nature of the entertainment
that is influencing the impressionable minds of today’s youth.

It’s undeniable that his passion for urban evangelism seeps through the poignant lyrical content of his first
official single.

“Hey man, the way I see it, I think we were made for more than just the simple things we aspire toward. We were
made for more than just telling stories of how much money we can get from selling poison to people,” he says at
the conclusion of the audio.

“It’s time to talk about who we are, who we can be. Man, we need to build each other up, not pull each other
down. I feel like we not talking about nothing right now.”
