Article By Angela Emerson:: EEW Magazine News
In May 2010, Juanita Bynum publicized her joint venture recording agreement with Matthew Knowles. In less
than five years, the relationship went sour.
The evangelist, author and recording artist, who turns 56 today, has bought out her contract and needs help re-
launching her solo career.
In an official ministry communique obtained by EEW Magazine, Bynum’s business manager Christopher Pina
explained that, following her severance of the relationship with Knowles, the “Oh, Oh, Oh” singer is gearing up
for a new album.
Titled Worshipping Warrior Trilogy, the project has no release date as of yet.
According to Pina, Bynum “decided this past year that no one and no corporate box would limit or diminish the
vision and true essence of what God had given her to do.”
Bynum reportedly believes the buyout makes it possible for her to launch her own record label and publishing
company with International Distribution throughout Central South as well as Infinity Music.
Since parting ways with Knowles, however, due to lack of funds, the vision is presently out of reach. Thus the
appeal to her supportive base for assistance in raising $150,000 “within a very short window of time.”
Pina, who is soliciting the large sum of money on her behalf, has requested that, in lieu of standard birthday
gifts, cards and flowers, the public “would prayerfully consider sowing the most generous seed” possible.
As an incentive, for those who give more than $1,015, they will receive a signed copy of Bynum’s new album
with their name listed in the “Thank You” section of the album credits.
Back when Bynum linked up with Knowles, she signed to Spirit Rising, once a premiere faith-based and
inspirational label under the umbrella of Music World.
Once stewarding a prolific ministry, after a series of scandals, primarily her divorce from her second husband
Bishop Thomas Weeks, III, and failure to pay a $140,000 judgment leading to her 2013 arrest, Bynum has been
on the decline.
