Healing is not in the feeling: 5 scriptures to declare during
seasons of sickness

When you’re diagnosed with a serious illness, you go through a bevy of emotions. You feel a
combination of anxiety, worry and fear—at first.

But if you dig deep into your spiritual reserve of faith-building scriptures, you will know this:
Healing is not in the feeling, but rather, it is promised to us in the word of God.

So in the midst of pain, you can yet declare the word.

You may be thinking:
But my body isn’t whole yet; I’m still in pain; I received a negative report
from doctors; Things seem to be getting worse daily.

Despite what you see, make sure what you say is in alignment with God’s word, which tells you
healing is yours, no matter what the odds. Believe that healing is God’s will for your life and say
so.

If you or a loved one is in need of some powerful scriptures to declare during a season of
sickness, here are 5 amazingly encouraging verses.

Be sure to devote time not just to reading them, but to memorizing them, so you can speak the
word of God aloud.

When your spirit is armed and fortified with God’s word, and you utter it out of your mouth, things
happen. When the storms of life hit you and disease tries to take over, you can fight back with a
power-packed mixture of faith and scripture.

#1 Psalm 107:20 NLT “He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the
door of death.” Just one word from the Lord has power to shift your circumstances. Believe
    His word today!

#2 Jeremiah 30:17 NLT “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds," says the
LORD. "For you are called an outcast--'Jerusalem for whom no one cares.'" When you feel
forgotten and overlooked in your time of sickness, remember these words from God. He
will restore you back to health and heal you everywhere you hurt. Keep on trusting the
    Lord!

#3 Matthew 8:17 NLT “This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who
said, "He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases." Through Jesus Christ,
prophecies of old were fulfilled. Just as He bore and took away our sin on the cross, so,
too did He remove our disease! Claim that you are healed according to what the word of
the Lord says regarding the finished work of Christ.

#4 Hebrews 11:11 ESV “By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when
she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.” If you are
facing insurmountable odds, this scripture will surely encourage you by reminding you that,
just as Sarah received a miracle according to her faith, you can and will, too. Why?
Because the One who promised is faithful.

#5 Isaiah 53:5 KJV “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are
healed.” Christ suffered so we wouldn’t have to! That doesn’t mean we won’t ever go
through anything, it just reassures us that because of His sacrifice, we are on the receiving
end of favor, mercy and healing. Rejoice for what He has already done. Victory belongs to
    you.

The next time you get down and out, and feel defeated by your circumstance and need to speak
the word over your life, let these scriptures be in in your faith-building arsenal.

Again, know that healing is not in the feeling, because despite what you feel like the word of God
is still true. He yet heals, works miracles and secures breakthroughs for His people. Claim and
receive what you need today.
