Reunited With Coach Chow: Gabrielle Douglas Striving To Make
2016 US Olympic Team
With God all things are possible. This is the message Olympic Gold Medalist Gabrielle Douglas posted on her
Twitter page recently, as she works to make the U.S. Olympic team for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.

It is a lofty goal to be sure, which is why the 18-year-old packed her bags and headed back to Iowa to be with
her coach Liang Chow, after leaving 8 months ago for LA to be closer to family.

"Coming back was just very exciting," Douglas
told reporter John Naughton.

The feeling is apparently mutual.

“I was looking forward to seeing my baby back," Chow said, expressing excitement over the opportunity to
rekindle the golden relationship that started it all. Yet, he is realistic about the challenges ahead.
Douglas is rusty.

It has been a whirlwind for her since bringing home the Gold for Team USA in 2012. Books, movies,
endorsement deals, red carpets—you name it, the 18-year-old has done it.

Getting her into competing shape again will take lots of hard work.

"It's not an easy dream," Chow said of Douglas' 2016 dream. "Team USA is very strong."

Douglas's strength iis something “The Gabby Douglas Story,” now out on DVD, hightlights well.

In an interview with the
Christian Post, Douglass recalled many of the rough times she had to get through.
"I think [those experiences] helped me become a stronger and more mature person and that was my
motivation,” she said.

“People are out there going through tough times. I went through hardships like a blood disease, homelessness,
moved to Iowa, injuries and I had to overcome all of those things to get to where I am today."
