Michelle Williams Embarrassed by Beyonce’s Explicit Album?
Says ‘'That’s Private Girl!’
Article By Nancy Sherman:: EEW Magazine Entertainment News

Gospel and R&B singer, and “Destiny’s Child” group member Tenitra Michelle Williams, 32, for years, has been
gracing stages with Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland, dancing, dressing and singing sexually.

But naked photo shoots and onstage lap dances, in her opinion, are tamer than Beyoncé’s recently released
visual album, about which Williams says she feels a bit uncomfortable.

During an interview with US Weekly at the 5th Annual Essence Black Women in Music Event in West Hollywood
on Jan. 22., the "If We Had Your Eyes" singer opened up about her group member’s explicit surprise release
that hit iTunes with no pre-promotion on Dec. 13.

"I love her new album,” said Williams, who briefly appears in the video for the song, “Superpower.” I think it’s
amazing!"

She continued, "I was telling someone on the way here how I was laughing. I don’t know if it’s laughter of
shyness or embarrassment because the makeup artist and everyone was listening to her say these things, and
I’m like, 'That’s private girl!'”

On Dec. 19 in an EEW Magazine piece written by Rita Hamilton titled Why I Stopped Listening to Beyonce’, the writer
points that the album is being labeled by some journalists as “x-rated” and "dripping with sex."

Business Insider calls it "perhaps the rudest mainstream pop album since Madonna’s Erotica." The review says,
"There are lots of sensuous, grinding slow jams about sex, accompanied by videos of her flaunting her backside,
watched by her cigar-smoking husband as if he's a voyeur at a strip show. It’s not exactly subtle."

Williams said in her US exclusive, “We aren’t supposed to know all that. But she is married and has produced a
baby, and we know what you have to do to produce a baby so OK!"
