Since God miraculously healed Dianna Hobbs, award-winning founder of Empowering Everyday
Women Ministries, Inc., she has hit the ground running.

Today it was officially announced that she and her husband, Kenya Hobbs, both licensed ministers
in the Church of God In Christ, have accepted the roles of Executive Pastor and First Lady at an
urban startup ministry on the east side of Buffalo, NY.

Evangelistic Temple COGIC appointed longtime community leader Elder Hobbs during Sunday
service flanked by his wife and the pair's four children.

Both are reportedly excited to lead this new effort to address the spiritual and practical concerns of
community residents.

“We are intentional in our focus to operate a church that looks outward to helping the community to
thrive and grow both spiritually and naturally,” said Elder Hobbs.

“A good friend once told me ‘Love is what love does,’ and we intend to be doers of God’s word by
getting out into the community and helping where we can to improve the conditions and concerns
facing many residents,” he added.

Evangelistic Temple was planted in August of last year by Bishop Joseph Brinson, Sr., 81, father of
Evangelist Hobbs. Now the newly appointed pair will serve under Senior Pastor, Bishop Brinson, Sr.
and First Lady Annie Brinson.

The experienced elder leaders will counsel, advise and guide the young 19-years-married pair as
they collaborate in partnership with the ministry's founding pastor.

The small church building located at 84 Rickert Ave. in the heart of the inner city of Buffalo has its
work cut out for it. It is surrounded by many abandoned lots, homes in need of love and a struggling
business economy. But the Kingdom-minded couple is undeterred.

“We will do all we can to honor God, love and build up His people, and serve with integrity, while
always teaching a doctrine that is rooted in the word of God,” she added.

Elder Hobbs says he and his wife are looking forward to engaging with residents, business owners,
law enforcement officials, and other community residents to harness all the resources available to
strengthen this community hobbled by disinvestment, high unemployment rates, and crime.

“As the old saying goes, ‘No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care,’
and we want to express compassion and concern in everything we do,” said Hobbs.  “The Bible
says in Jeremiah 31:3, ‘With loving kindness have I drawn thee,’ and we recognize that the greatest
agent of change for any community is love.”

Evangelistic Temple is inviting community residents to its Easter Sunday service April 16th, 2017
beginning at 11am. The church welcomes anyone looking for spiritual enrichment through God’s
word that has a burning desire to see the church be more socially active in addressing community
challenges.

COGIC, the umbrella under which the ministry falls, is a Pentecostal-Holiness Christian
denomination with a predominantly African-American membership.

With more than 6.5 million members in the United States, it has been ranked the fifth largest
Christian denomination in the U.S. by the National Council of Churches.

The work of Empowering Everyday Women Ministries is separate and distinct from that of
Evangelist Temple COGIC. EEW also remains a non-denominational not-for-profit organization.
