In this day and age, you probably hear lots of talk about feminism, fierceness and fabness.
But as a woman of God, you want to make sure your mentality and lifestyle are both governed by the word of God. So here are 5 helpful scriptures to assist you in being a woman of purpose.
#1 Matthew 6:33 (NLT)- “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
You not only want to be a woman of purpose, but a woman of God’s purpose. Seek the Lord diligently and all that you need to be a woman of purpose will come to you.
#2 Proverbs 31:10-31 (KJV)
Be sure to read these verses. They teach you to be a driven, God-fearing woman, who is willing to put in the work necessary to provide for herself and her family. Utilizing these scriptural methods, you will be motivated to be an enterprising woman, not simply for the benefit of you, but that you might also share what you have with those who need it. With God's help and guidance, you can be self-sufficient, with a goal in mind and a plan to reach it.
#3 Romans 12:2 (ESV)- “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind...”
Be separate from the world. Don’t be afraid to stand out! Go ahead and let modesty be the motto for your fashion. Make sure the words you speak build others up rather than tear them down. And the only influence you should be under is that of the Father. Dare to be different!
#4 Romans 1:16 (NIV)- “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Be bold and unashamed! Stand up for the Word of God, and speak its truths for all to hear. Don’t water down the gospel; it is not a kind word that saves, nor a good deed, but the knowledge that Christ loved us enough to die for our sins that saves. Salvation comes through Christ, so you must preach Christ in order to lead others to salvation.
#5 Psalm 17:6 (NIV)- “I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.”
Pray! All day, every day. Pray for wisdom and guidance. Don’t make any moves, big or small, without consulting the Lord. When God is guiding your steps, you can’t go wrong.
Being a woman of purpose is about living out God’s will for your life.
So take these scriptures and treasure them. They will help you live out the purpose for which you were created—to show forth God’s honor and glory in the earth.
